LifeWave Phototherapy

What Is Phototherapy

The science of phototherapy, which has been around for about 100 years, uses light to improve the health of the body. And modern forms of phototherapy such as Low-Level Laser Therapy, which helps reduce wrinkles and treat other more serious skin conditions, are very well understood scientifically.

But this idea is nothing new. As far back as two thousand years ago, the ancient Greeks had a center for studying the effects of different colored lights on the body. Even the ancient Egyptians, who promoted health by focusing sunlight through colored glass on certain areas of the body, understood this concept.

How LifeWave Phototherapy Patches Work

Your body emits heat in the form of infrared light. Our patches are designed to trap this infrared light when placed on the body, which causes them to reflect particular wavelengths of light. This process stimulates nerves on the surface of the skin which in turn produces specific health benefits that are unique to each LifeWave patch.

New Products

We have added another eye moisturizer.  This luxurious creme is loaded with wonderful moisturizing rejuvenating oils and peptides.  Organic Infused Vitamin C Anti-Wrinkle Eye/Facial Creme with Evening Primrose Oil, Eyebright & Peptides.  I personally love this product as it seems to 'iron' out the wrinkles and makes an immediate visible difference in softening the fine lines around my eyes.
We are replacing the botanical conditioner with a new Organic Infused Argan Conditioner with Panthenol & Silk Protein - Choice of Unscented or Essential Oils.  If your hair is dry, color treated or damaged or just needs extra conditioning - you will want to get this conditioner.
We added a wonderful new serum.  Organic Infused Age Defying Collagen Renewal/Brightening Serum with Matrixyl 3000, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid & Plant Stem Cells.  This treatment serum is packed with ingredients to addresses a multitude of skin care needs. Anti-aging, brightening, exfoliating, stimulating, deeply nourishing, even out skin texture, tone, restore balance to free radical damage. Gentle fruit and plant acids exfoliate and stimulate your upper dermal layers for turnover and collagen renewal. Plant Stem Cells literally plug in the holes in the skins cellular matrix. These “holes” are caused by pollution, stress, sub-optimal nutrition, weather, UV rays, and oxidation. 5% Niacinimide opens the flow between and within cells for significant circulation boost and evening of skin texture and tone.  This replaces our previous brightening serum.
100% Natural Organic Infused Aromatherapy Perfume Oil - Use either as a perfume oil for scent or as a therapeutic aromatherapy oil. Available in your choice of essential oil(s) or blends.
Organic Infused Exotic Face & Body Oil with Grapeseed, Marula & Baobab Oil Designed to absorb quickly and deeply hydrate your skin without clogging pores. This amazing combination of Baobab, Pumpkin, Cranberry, Pomegranate, Grapeseed and Marula oils is an excellent source of essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins and sterols. Also great for nails and hair.  Formulated with exotic oils that help maturing skin’s diminishing elasticity for a more youthful and radiant appearance. Excellent for dry and brittle nails. You can use this amazing exotic oil blend as a cuticle oil to deliver moisture and vitamins directly to your fingernails, so they’ll look shiny and healthy almost instantly after application. When using as a cuticle oil, apply daily for consistent results.  The natural synergistic blend of this formulation enables the oils to be easily absorbed by your skin.
Limitied Edition - Organic Aloe Jojoba Hibiscus Hand & Body Moisturizer  Hibiscus has a sort of magical reputation in skin care because it is a natural source of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs). AHAs are known to help exfoliate skin, speed up cell turnover, and help control acne breakouts, all of which can encourage fresher, younger, and smoother looking skin. They also increase moisture and improve flexibility and elasticity—the reason why hibiscus is called the Botox plant.  Due to the slightly exfoliating effect of the organic acids found in the plant, including citric acid and malic acid, Hibiscus helps to speed up cell turnover, resulting in a more even looking skin tone.
If you suffer with hot flashes or just tend to run on the warmer side - you will love our Organic Infused Cooling Exotic Unisex After Shave Lotion.  This is not just an aftershave lotion, it is a body moisturizer that cools & softens your skin.  It works particularly well on dry skin often caused by spending more time indoors with artificial heat sources. The lotion is rich but mild. With hints of neroli, sweet orange and peppermint it’s a great daily refresher.

FALL SERUM SALE

Buy 1 Full Size Retinol Serum and Get a Full Size Brightening Serum for 50% OFF ($20 Value)

Smoothing 1% Retinol Serum with Hyaluronic Acid & Glycolic Acid
A proprietary brightening complex combined with carefully chosen fruit and plant acids work synergistically to facilitate younger looking skin and helps retain moisture and prevent damage caused by dryness. The end result is firmer, plumper, healthier looking skin for a radiant complexion. Also contains: alpha Lipoic Acid Also known as thioctic acid. You may have heard of alpha-lipoic acid as "the miracle in a jar" for its anti-aging effects. It’s a newer,ultra-potent antioxidant that helps fight future skin damage and helps repair past damage. Alpha-lipoic acid diminishes fine lines, gives skin a healthy glow, and boosts levels of other antioxidants, such as vitamin C.

Hyaluronic and Kojic Acid Brightening Serum
Natural skin brighteners, clinically proven to be more effective and safer than hydroquinone. MSM helps to penetrate to the layers of the skin where miniscule scar tissue builds up and skin clarity is compromised. Hyarulonic acid helps hydrate and moisturize the skin. The result, more youthful integrity for a younger, more even toned complexion. Topically applied hyaluronic acid forms an air permeable layer and penetrates into the dermis, thus boosting the elasticity and hydration of the skin. The protective breathable barrier on the skin locks in moisture which gives the skin a youthful appearance. Hyaluronic acid also protects the epidermis by scavenging reactive oxygen species generated by ultra violet light which would normally cause sunspots. Kojic Acid is a more recent remedy for the treatment of pigment problems and age spots. Discovered in 1989, kojic acid has a similar effect as hydroquinone. Studies have shown that it is effective as a lightening agent, inhibiting production of melanin (brown pigment).

Alpha Lipoic Acid in Skin Care Products

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is often referred to as the “Universal Antioxidant”. It may very well join the ranks of Vitamin C and E as part of a first-line of defense against free radicals and prematurely aging skin.

In contrast to Vitamin E (which is fat soluble) and Vitamin C (which is water soluble), Alpha Lipoic Acid penetrates both the fatty and watery tissues of cells, neutralizing free radicals and providing both intracellular and extracellular protection. In addition to its antioxidant properties, ALA restores oxidized forms of Vitamins C, Vitamin E and Coenzyme Q10 to their active states.

By controlling free radical damage Alpha Lipoic Acid suppresses production of inflammation causing molecules making it a potent anti-inflammatory ingredient. ALA’s anti-inflammatory action prevents the cross linking of collagen fibers thereby fighting the formation of wrinkles and slowing the appearance of premature aging. Alpha Lipoic Acid is used in skin care products formulated to neutralize free radicals, to reduce inflammation and to fight the appearance fine lines and aging.

Could Sugar Cause Wrinkles And Speed Up Aging?

Danica Collins:

Think the only way to stay wrinkle-free is to avoid the sun and moisturize faithfully? Well don’t discount the effect of a little white refined substance that’s in nearly everything you eat.

New research points directly to your sweet tooth and prepackaged foods; studies have now proven that sugar causes wrinkles.  The more you indulge in sweets and overly processed foods containing sugar the quicker you’ll lose your healthy “glow.

It make shock you to discover that the average American eats a whopping 22 tablespoons of sugar daily and most of this is from processed foods, not including traditional sweets.

Skin Science and Sugar

A process called glycation, in which a sugar attaches to and damages proteins in your blood, makes you more vulnerable to skin damage and premature wrinkles.

The more sugar you consume, the more damage you inflict on your skin by exposing it to glycation end products (AGEs), which eventually damage not just the proteins they are attached to but the proteins nearby as well. Which in turns proves the point that sugar causes wrinkles.

Collagen and elastin are the most important proteins for skin health.  They are the two building blocks essential to keeping your skin smooth and flexible.  The British Journal of Dermatology explains, “Dryness and lack of elasticity occurs when these proteins become damaged.”

Your skin is your body’s largest organ and collagen its most abundant protein.

Collagen production steeply declines every year after your mid-thirties and a diet high in sugar damages your remaining collagen reserves.  Diabetics are especially prone to wrinkles caused by sugar since their condition can go undetected for years.

Reversing The Wrinkle Damage Caused by Sugar

Retinoids – found in beauty lotions and skin serums – help collagen remain supple and prevent glycation from further damaging your skin.

Scaling back the amount of sugar you eat is crucial to skin health.  Sugar has some of the worst effects on your total body health – especially fructose which has been proven in countless studies to be highly inflammatory.  Fructose is found in many everyday foods, such as cereal crackers and spaghetti sauce.

sugar causes wrinkles
Curbing your intake of sweets affects far more than your skin, of course.  Too much sugar promotes fat cell growth, increases your risk for insulin resistance and puts you at higher risk for obesity, diabetes and heart disease.
The average American consumes more than two pounds of sugar every week!

Sugar content is not just the typical “sweets” – such as candy, soda and baked goods.  Many pre-packaged and pre-prepared foods contain sugar additives such as high-fructose corn syrup.  Products you may not consider sweet could have a much higher sugar content than you’d imagine so always check your labels!

How Much is Too Much?

Experts recommend keeping your sugar intake between 15-25 grams per day – especially if you are pre-diabetic or diabetic.

Removing sugar from your diet is not easy if you have a sweet tooth.  It is considered a highly addictive substance.  Try weaning yourself off processed foods but don’t substitute with artificial sweeteners which have been proven to stimulate cancer growth.

You should also avoid using agave syrup since it is a sap that has been over-processed and is almost entirely fructose.

Top 3 Tips to Reverse the Effects of Wrinkles Caused by Sugar

  1. Limit sweets and opt for raw, organic sweeteners whenever possible – such as raw cane and raw honey.  Even these sweeteners should always be used in moderation.
  2. Include more antioxidant rich foods to fight free radical damage.  A diet that includes antioxidants has been proven to slow the effects of aging.  Vitamins B1 (thiamin) and B6 are recommended by dermatologists to inhibit AGEs.  Tuna, seeds and beans are rich in these skin-friendly vitamins.
  3. Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.
If you can’t live without sweets, consider an ounce of dark chocolate, which contains less sugar and helps curb your craving for salty and sweet foods.  Unlike milk or white chocolate, 70% cacao (or higher) chocolate is also heart healthy!

Winter Skin Care

Everybody enjoys having youthful and healthy skin. Unfortunately, if you live where winter is typically cold and dry, you know firsthand how skin changes for the worse. But if you follow some important, basic skin care principles, you can soothe thickened, dry and scaly skin.

Your Skin Needs Nutrients
You may remember a time when your skin was at its most beautiful and youthful—smooth, resilient and blemish-free. What made it healthy? It was largely due to the absorption of crucial nutrients. To remain soft, elastic and healthy, your skin requires optimal nutrition.

Optimal nutrition refers to the foods that build healthy tissue and are not inflammatory in nature. Not included in this category, for example, is refined sugar with its adverse effects on skin (noted in scientific literature).

Sugar causes a long list of skin harm:
  • Causing premature aging due to a decline in tissue elasticity and function. Essentially, the more sugar you eat, the more elasticity and function you lose. [1]
  • Boosting the uncontrolled growth of Candida albicans yeast infections. [2]
  • Decreasing the amount of growth hormones in the body. [3]
  • Wrinkling the skin by changing the nature of collagen. [4]
  • Playing a causative role in the formation and continuation of acne. [5]
  • Promoting “leaky gut” syndrome and intestinal dysbiosis (disrupted milieu of gut microbiology, including yeast); increased intestinal dysbiosis is associated with the severity of eczema in children. [6]
Helpful Nutrients
The micronutrients needed for healthy skin include: omega 3 fatty acids, lauric acid (in coconut oil), fiber, phytonutrients and the B vitamins as well as vitamins A, C and E.

These nutrients are mostly in whole foods such as nuts, leafy green (and colorful) vegetables, fresh fruits, seeds and legumes. Fish is important, too.

You don’t have to memorize which micronutrients are in which foods. Just remember that whole, fresh foods are all generally high in micronutrients, so make them the primary foods in your meals.
Eliminate processed, refined, chemicalized, fake foods. Avoid white bread, white rice, white sugar, processed meats, processed cheeses, dairy products and juices that are not fresh. Do not eat hydrogenated and trans-fatty foods such as burgers and french fries. Eliminate processed and altered foods that are packaged in boxes, cans or bottles. Beware of crackers, cookies, chips, puddings, sodas, sugary cold cereals, TV dinners, frozen pizzas, etc.

Eliminate Internal Inflammation
Thick, dry, scaly skin characterizes a condition called eczema, which is most prominent in winter. However, eczema is not just from dry and cold air. To me, it is definitely a sign of poor nutrition. It is also a sign of an immune hypersensitivity (allergic) reaction being expressed outwardly.
This low-grade allergic inflammatory process is much like other chronic inflammatory illnesses; the skin displays signs of it. Because inflammation comes from internal processes, there may be a need for internal detoxification. That’s why my patients report their skin to be clearer and smoother than ever after a liquid cleanse.

Consider also how dandruff (seborrheic dermatitis) is not even a dry condition, but represents an oily skin condition that is flaky and scaly. Conventional medicine maintains that the cause of this is unknown. Newer wisdom says it is really a sign of an internal allergy or nutrient deficiency. Dandruff clears up after a liquid cleanse followed by nutrient-rich, mostly raw, “cleansing” food nutrition. This combination is the most important path to healthy skin.

Keep Skin Hydrated
Your skin’s moisture level can be compromised by over-cleaning with harsh soaps containing chemicals. These can strip your skin of oils it needs to keep hydrated. Pools and hot tubs can do this, too, because of their chlorine and bromine content.

Lotions, creams and ointments applied topically are always a good way to help reduce the effects of dry, cold air. They contain nutrients that can penetrate directly to where they are needed most.
Look for products with hydrating agents such as hyaluronic acid, collagen-building proteins, healing herbs and minerals.

To great skin and feeling good,
Michael Cutler, M.D.

Hyaluronic Acid: The All-Natural Filler

As we age, our skin loses its natural oils and becomes dry, rough and wrinkly. Thirsty and insatiable, older skin soaks up moisturizer only to scream, "more!" and remains wilted and unsatisfied even after you slather on the richest and most expensive of moisturizers. Why does your skin act like a desert in need of an oasis the older you are? Because it is low in hyaluronic acid.

Your body naturally produces hyaluronic acid, which not only hydrates your skin, but also supports the structure of your skin cells.  Hyaluronic acid helps your skin cells retain enormous amounts of water.  Hyaluronic acid can absorb 1000 times its weight in water!   Water is more than just hydration, water plumps up the skin, increasing volume and elasticity.   Hyaluronic acid rejuvenates skin every 2 to 3 weeks; unfortunately, as you age, your levels of hyaluronic acid decrease dramatically and your skin cells lose their structure, which is why your skin begins to droop and sag.

Although it's tempting to plump skin with fillers like collagen, you can achieve the same youthful plumpness naturally and at a fraction of the price by supplementing with a topical cream that contains hyaluronic acid. Unlike other professed moisturizing nutrients, hyaluronic acid actually penetrates deep into the skin cells, where it helps cells hold water and structure. And what is even better hyaluronic acid carries other anti-aging ingredients deep into the skin, where they would otherwise not reach.  Even more important, make sure not to use products that contain toxic chemicals.  Know your ingredients!

Look and Feel Younger with the BioMat

looking youngerHow does looking and feeling younger sound to you? Sounds good, right? No matter your age, location, income or race, this is something that appeals to both men and women around the globe. While some individuals may opt for pricey dermatological procedures, expensive ointments or costly and dangerous surgical options, looking and feeling younger is actually simple to achieve and, of course, costs much less too.

The BioMat is just what you need to bring rejuvenation and vigor to your life. The primary cause of the appearance of aging is stress and the BioMat will combat that factor while reinventing a youthful glow in your face. Additionally, because you experience pure relaxation you feel younger and ready to tackle the world.

The infrared heat therapy of the BioMat calms both body and mind. This is the perfect recipe when it comes to not just feeling younger, but looking more youthful as well. One of the keys to this FDA approved item is the amethyst crystals. Amethyst crystals have proven therapeutic properties, which work on you in a positive and reparative fashion.
Imagine what your life would be like if you were full of energy each and every day. Not only would your spirits be elevated but you would also have a huge reduction in stress, and you could accomplish things that you never thought possible. No more being tired. Instead, imagine feeling vital and healthy enough to take on the world.

Further, your immunity will be elevated and the likelihood of illness is diminished. This means that while those around you may fall victim to the latest flu bug, you will remain healthy and active. BioMat sessions as brief as 15 minutes will leave you feeling refreshed, calm and energized. You receive all the daily youthfulness, energy and health benefits for a fraction of the cost of a trip to the spa.

I got my BioMat (professional and mini) last week and every time I use it, I feel like it puts me into a deep sense of relaxation and melts away the pain and stress.  I am loving it!  I am saving up for the amethyst pillow and some of the other items like the  PAL visualization system.

These products do not have a wholesale price but because these products are so beneficial for health, JES Organics is selling them anyway at no profit. These are sold through a distributor system and some of the proceeds go to charities.

Hyaluronic Acid in Anti-Aging Skincare Products

Hyaluronic acid, also called hyaluronan or hyaluronate, is a naturally occurring complex sugar, or glycosaminoglycan, found in the human body in connective, epithelial, and neural tissues.

Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the extracellular matrix of human tissue. Topically applied hyaluronic acid forms an air permeable layer and penetrates into the dermis, thus boosting the elasticity and hydration of the skin. The protective breathable barrier on the skin locks in moisture which gives the skin a youthful appearance.

The cuticular layer of the skin normally contains 10-20% water, however as we age it can drop to below 10%. Hyaluronic acid comes to the rescue with its unique ability to hold more than 1000 ml of water per gram of hyaluronic acid, which is a key factor in allowing the skin to retain more water. Amazingly, hyaluronic acid adjusts its moisture absorption based on the relative humidity in the air. It is the ideal ingredient in skin care products as it adjusts to the skin’s need for a moisturizing effect depending on the relative humidity of seasons and climate of an area. Hyaluronic acid also protects the epidermis by scavenging reactive oxygen species generated by ultra violet light which would normally cause sunspots.

Hyaluronic acid is a major component of skin, where it is involved in tissue repair. When skin is excessively exposed to UVB rays, it becomes inflamed (sunburn) and the cells in the dermis stop producing hyaluronic acid, and increase the rate of its degradation. Hyaluronan degradation products also accumulate in the skin after UV exposure. Hyaluronic acid has tons of medical uses, from treatment of arthritis to wound healing.

As our skin is exposed to environmental pollutants and the sun’s ultraviolet rays, skin cells gradually lose the ability to produce hyaluronic acid. Studies have shown that older skin typically has lower levels of hyaluronic acid than younger skin. As a result, skin tissue becomes dehydrated and the collagen and elastin fibers lose their structure, resulting in a loss of skin volume, formation of the facial wrinkles and folds. When used in skincare, hyaluronic acid dramatically improves skin’s hydration.

As a complex sugar, hyaluronic acid is an excellent humectant. It retains water like a sponge, absorbing more than 1,000 times its weight. By attracting and maintaining water in upper and lower layers of the skin, hyaluronic acid increases skin’s volume and density. Hence the smoothness. Hyaluronic acid is also involved with the transport of essential nutrients to the skin cells and helps prevent age-related loss of collagen and elastin.

Exciting New Products

We added some Exciting New Products to our Organic Skin Care Line just in time for Organic Black Friday 45% OFF Sale
Hyaluronic Acid is one of the most exciting ingredients on the market today. We use only the vegan type of hyaluronic acid.

DMAE is found in foods and can create an almost immediate appearance in the firming and tone of the skin.  An intriguing finding in some DMAE studies was that it reduced the accumulation of lipofuscin deposits inside cells. Lipofuscin deposits are cellular pigment consisting of aggregated chucks of molecular waste. It has been demonstrated that DMAE causes some degree of skin and pore tightening. However, it remains unclear how DMAE firms the skin -- whether by stabilizing the membranes, boosting acetylcholine, reducing lipofuscin deposits or none of the above. Whatever the mechanism, the effect of DMAE is often noticeable although seldom dramatic. Besides, even though DMAE can't fully reverse the existing facial sag, it may reduce its further progression. People report a cumulative effect with continued use of DMAE. Naturally occurring substance that facilitates the synthesis of a neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is a compound released from the ends of nerve fibers and it is involved in the transmission of nerve impulses. DMAE also may stimulate the synthesis of phosphatidylcholine, an important component of cell membranes. Phosphatidylcholine is an essential fatty acid that improves and protects cell membranes damaged by free-radicals and improves blood flow and circulation.

JES Organics Company Updates on Organic Skin Care Products

Well, I have been using the new Vitamin B3 Treatment serum for a week now and I am very excited with my own personal results.  I wanted it more for aging and sun spots and some hyperpigmentation from the sun on my neck.  However, in addition to using it on my face and neck, I also used it on a very itchy raised skin lesion on my forearm that I have had since April and couldn't get rid of.  I put the Vitamin B3 Treatment serum on that and within 24 hours, the itching stopped and within 48 hours, it was flat and almost gone.  I had a raised enlarged pore on my cheek that always bothered me and that is flat now in 72 hours and has almost disappeared.  I feel like my skin is noticeably more tone after applying the serum and I can't wait to see how it combats fine lines and sun spots in a few months.

JES Organics Organic Skin Care Line was previously called Belle Peau Anti-Aging.  We have made the decision to change the name to Ageless Skin Care because our products are really good for all skin types.  We were hearing from our customers that moms were buying our skin care to prevent premature aging and that their teenagers were finding that it really helped their acneic prone skin.  And there is lots of research to support that the ingredients we use in our products works well for a broad spectrum of skin care types and issues.  Please be patient with us as we update the labels and web-site photos with the new products/information.

Our Organically Preserved Body Lotion is also back now by popular demand.  This lotion was previously under our Belle Peau line but will now be under the new Ageless Line.

Compare our ingredients to the top selling Skin Care lines and you will see we have power packed skin care ingredients while still being natural, organic, organically preserved and non-toxic.  Because we are anti-corporate greed, you will find that our prices are very affordable and you can't beat the quality.  All of our products are FRAGRANCE FREE, PARABEN FREE, SULFATE FREE, NON-TOXIC. Rated 0-2 by Skin Deep for Safety and Toxicity.

We added this new Vitamin B3 Treatment serum to our Ageless Skin Care Line based on the ingredients, organically preserved, quality, and all of the research supporting the benefits of these ingredients.  During my research with these ingredients and the Vitamin B3, I found it fascinating that a single product could work for the whole spectrum of skin types from acneic prone to anti-aging.  At JES Organics, we love it when we can keep it simple and have products that work for all age groups.

We have discontinued the Exfoliant even though it was an excellent product, we find that the majority of people have very busy lives and want to keep it as simple as possible.  Our Ageless 2 in 1 Cleanser gently exfoliates and cleanses at the same time eliminating that extra step.

In the near future, we will be replacing the Nutrient Rich Beet Masque with a Creamy Detoxification Masque.  The Nutrient Rich Beet Masque is great for all skin types and helps to pull toxins from the skin and pores.  It is a powder masque that can be mixed with water, soy milk, yogurt or any liquid that is good for the skin.  With Beet Powder, Vitamins B and C this masque is well rounded and mild for all skin types. This is on sale for just a limited time.

Beet Powder is extremely rich in iron, potassium, niacin, copper, vitamin A, vitamin C, folic acid, biotin, niacin, zinc, phosphorus, sodium, calcium, manganese, magnesium and contains phosphorus. Beets provide a natural source of phosphate of copper which is necessary for the skin to stretch.

Topical application of Niacinamide (B3) has been shown to increase Ceramide and free fatty acid levels in skin and to prevent skin from losing water content. It will decrease itching, inflammation, help acne affected skin, decrease oiliness, alleviate atopic dermatitis, decrease UV-induced skin cancers and help decrease facial pigmentation.

Whether the goal is fighting wrinkles and age spots or eradicating stubborn acne, cosmetic manufacturers are turning to an old vitamin that seems to be learning new skin care tricks. Niacinamide, aka vitamin B3, is popping up in moisturizers, eye creams, anti aging serums, and acne treatments, as scientists continue to unlock this nutrient's beauty benefits.

Vitamin B5 improves the moisture-retention capacity of the skin and stimulates skin regeneration. Dry skin stays supple and elastic for longer. It has an anti-inflammatory and anti-itching effect.

Ascorbyl Palmitate is found naturally in fruits and green vegetables and is essential for normal metabolism, wound healing, and tissue repair. Solubility enables this form of Vitamin C to reach the surface of the skin rapidly in amounts greater than can be achieved by water soluble Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid), therefore providing readily available form of Vitamin C to skin. It can be used by individuals who have normally sensitive skin.

Kaolin Clay - the mildest of all clays. It is suitable for sensitive skin. It helps stimulate circulation to the skin while gently exfoliating and cleansing it. It does not draw oils from the skin and can therefore be used on dry skin types.

Bentonite Clay is a highly absorbent clay that pulls toxins from the skin.

Treatment Serum with Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) & Antioxidants

NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

JES Organics Treatment Serum+ is packed with a synergistic complex of potent anti-oxidants and vitamins. These concentrated ingredients help to increase the synthesis of collagen, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, even skin tone, promote firmness, boost skin elasticity and improve the skin barrier.

Research shows that Vitamin B3 improves the function of the skin and helps to prevent many of the signs of premature aging. Smoothes wrinkles, boosts skin elasticity, reduces sallowness, fades age spots and discolorations and helps to fight acne.

According to some leading skin care experts, skin care products containing DMAE, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Vitamin E and Retinol Vitamin A can create amazing results in the appearance of aging skin.

Skin Types: Mature, Normal, Dry, Oily, Combination, Acneic

Whether the goal is fighting wrinkles and age spots or eradicating stubborn acne, cosmetic manufacturers are turning to an old vitamin that seems to be learning new skin care tricks. Niacinamide(Vitamin B3), is popping up in moisturizers, eye creams, anti-aging serums, and acne treatments, as scientists continue to unlock this nutrient's beauty benefits.

What It Does
Vitamin B3 is no stranger to dermatologists, who have known about niacinamide's acne-fighting ability for years. When 198 people with severe acne were given a proprietary formula containing 750 mg of niacinamide, 79 percent experienced a significant improvement in skin lesions after eight weeks. In fact, niacinamide seemed to work just as well as a popular antibiotic to reduce acne. But niacinamide isn't just reserved for the young.

Applying this nutrient to the skin can help prevent many of the signs of premature aging. A growing number of studies show that niacinamide improves the function of the epidermis, the skin's outer layer.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)

• Smoothes wrinkles
• Reduces sallowness
• Boosts the skin's elasticity
• Anti-Aging
• Fade age spots and other discolorations (A safe alternative to hydroquinone, a chemical skin lightener that may cause cancer)
• Fights Acne
• Rosacea

Niacinamide, a form of vitamin B3, has been used topically for rosacea. It is thought to improve the skin barrier, improve the skin’s moisture level, and reduce inflammation. One study looked at a niacinamide-containing facial moisturizer (applied twice daily) or a placebo moisturizer in 50 people with rosacea. After four weeks, the niacinamide-containing moisturizer was found to improve the skin barrier.

In one clinical trial, 50 women used a moisturizer containing 5 percent niacinamide on one side of the face and a placebo cream on the other. After 12 weeks, the niacinamide side showed less wrinkling and a significant reduction in age spots compared to the placebo side.

Unlike many cosmeceutical ingredients, there is a great deal of research that supports the use of topical niacinamide. Studies have shown its usefulness in increasing synthesis of collagen and lipids, inhibiting the transfer of melanosomes, and decreasing inflammation. As a precursor to niacin, it may even play a role in preventing skin cancer.

Hyperpigmentation also seems to respond to topical niacinamide. In a poster presented at the 2001 annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology, niacinamide was shown to decrease melanosome transfer to keratinocytes. In addition, a poster at the 2002 annual meeting of the AAD demonstrated that moisturizers containing 2% and 5% concentrations of niacinamide resulted in a clinically detectable decrease in facial pigmentation.

The mechanism by which niacinamide affects inflammation is unclear, but it has been shown to inhibit mast cell histamine release, neutrophil chemotaxis, and release of inflammatory mediators. It has also reduced the triglyceride and diglyceride content of sebum, resulting in less facial oil. Clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy of topical niacinamide in treating inflammatory acne and rosacea in unrelated trials by Dr. Shalita, Dr. Zoe Draelos, and others.

Vitamin C
Topical ascorbic acid accelerates the healing of wound as it aids in stabilizing and generation of collagen. This vitamin stimulates collagen synthesis, production of stable collagen and triggers the production of enzymes that is necessary for the cross linking of collagen molecule which in turn gives better tissue strength.

1. Improves the appearance of skin by reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
2. May protect and lessen the effects of sunburns.
3. Protects cells from free-radicals
4. Protects the skin cell from damage due to ultraviolet light

Advantages
Once Vitamin C penetrates the skin, it stays there for up to 72 hours. This means that a properly formulated topical vitamin-C product can have a long lasting effect in the skin.

Fast acting, results can sometimes be seen in just a few days or weeks of use. Improvement in skin texture and skin tone is easily noticeable after a short time period of use. Depressed scars may take several months to be normalized.

Vitamin C Ester is well known and long documented antioxidant that protects the surface of the skin from free radicals that can damage the skin.

DMAE is found in foods and can create an almost immediate appearance in the firming and tone of the skin. Dimethylaminoethanol, better known as DMAE, is an antioxidant membrane stabilizer. When applied topically, it helps to firm, smoothes, and brighten skin. It also enhances the effects of other antioxidants like alpha lipoic acid and Vitamin C ester. As a result, DMAE works best when used in combination with other nutrients and an antioxidant base.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is the most powerful of antioxidants. It is able to benefit both the water and lipid portions of the skin. It is said to give the skin a “youthful and glowing appearance.”
